CUSTOM ILLUSTRATED WEDDING MAP
If you are having out of town guests or want to have a keepsake of your wedding destination, why not commission a custom illustrated wedding map? It’s the perfect little piece of art and is also a practical guide for your guests. Add directions, accommodation options or your itinerary on the back. You could also use it as a Save the Date card. I have worked on maps from New Zealand to Texas to California so no destination is off limits!
All my maps are hand-drawn and include hand written calligraphy and typography. You can choose from ink maps, or ink and watercolour maps. Each map has the outline of local roads, road names, place names of local interest, a venue illustration and calligraphy venue names. You can add illustrations as you please. It’s about creating a tiny piece of art that reflects you as a couple so if would like to have pets, or mountains, or flowers included just ask. They just add more flavour to your map! I deliver the map in a digital file ready for printing. I can also arrange printing for you if require.
THE PROCESS
- Please get in touch to order your custom map*. Tell me all about your destination, the venue and any other illustrations you would like included on the map. Choose from an ink map, or an ink and watercolour map. Please let me know if you need printing and the amount of maps you would like.
- I will be in touch within 1-2 days with a proposal to confirm pricing based on your choices. Each custom map requires a 50% non-refundable retainer to get started. The remaining 50% will be due on completion.
- After you pay the retainer and sign the proposal, the designing fun begins! I will confirm all the details of illustrations, wording, and colours with you at this stage.
- Then I will start work on your first draft and send it to you for your feedback. I will make any changes and adjust the map to make it perfect for you. You can make up to 5 revisions (if needed).
- When you are happy with the design, I will then do a final proof for you. When the final 50% has been paid, I will send you the digital files, or arrange for the printing if you require it.

PRICING
Custom Illustrated Wedding Maps start from NZD $195 + GST and depend on the number of illustrations and details you require. This includes the custom design, hand drawn illustrations, hand written calligraphy, typography, and digitisation. The timing can vary based on revisions, timeliness of responses etc, but please allow at least 1-2 weeks to complete the process (longer if you require printing). *If you order other stationery with Inkberry, you can use some of your illustrations on other pieces. This price will be calculated at the time.
